The sturdier and sportier version of Portugieser is the Yacht Club. IWC revived its original 1960s model in 2010. This modern in-house developed chronograph is fitted into a 44.6 mm stainless steel case, and its automatic movement features a power reserve of 68 hours. You can admire the calibre at work as well as its perlage and Côtes de Genève decoration through a transparent sapphire-glass back. The chronograph is equipped with an unconventional flyback function; the hour and minute counters are combined in one totalizer at 12 o’clock, while the small seconds hand is located exactly opposite, at 6 o’clock. The date display will come in handy every day.
